Privacy policy

The short version

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your hardware selection, the context length you pick and the filters you set are never transmitted to us. We do not have accounts, so we have nothing to attach any of it to.

What is stored on your device

One entry in your browser's local storage, holding your last hardware choice and settings so you do not have to select them on every visit, and your light or dark theme preference. Both stay on your device. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Server logs

Our web server records standard access logs: the page requested, the time, the referring page, your browser's user agent string and a truncated IP address. These are used to keep the site running and to see which pages are worth expanding. They are not combined with anything else and are discarded after 30 days.

Advertising

This site carries advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's ad settings, and review the wider set of choices at aboutads.info. Google's own handling of data is described in its partner sites policy.

Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, a consent notice is shown before any such cookie is set, and declining leaves the site fully usable — nothing on this site requires advertising to work.

Affiliate links

Some hardware links point to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag. Following one tells Amazon that you arrived from this site; it does not tell us anything about you. Amazon's handling of that visit is governed by its own privacy notice. We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means to earn fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites.

External requests

Pages load fonts and scripts from this domain. Advertising loads from Google's domains. Beyond that, no third-party service is contacted while you browse — the model catalogue is built at publication time, so nothing here queries Hugging Face or any other service while you are reading.

Children

This site is aimed at people configuring computer hardware and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data tied to you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve, correct or erase on request. If you believe we hold something about you, write to us and we will look and tell you honestly what we find.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described on this page rather than made quietly.
